Acting Classes For Adults

TV & Film Acting Class Wednesdays

  Students will learn foundations of the Meisner Technique of acting and apply it towards: on-camera acting, preparing for auditions, nailing the comedy and/or drama of a scene, working on commercials, and much more!The Meisner Technique of acting builds confidence and empowers actors to be more truthful in their scenes and characters.
  
  Rather than faking or pretending to feel emotions, our actors learn to work through self-consciousness, get grounded in their scenes, and truly be affected by their scene partners moment-to-moment. This class presents students with MANY opportunities to get on their feet and apply their training in practical ways. Students will become more well-rounded performers.Our classes are fun and they empower students to be more open, authentic, and confident performers. Our classes are safe environments; no judgment, no competition, and no pressure.Enrollment in our acting program is a commitment to your craft, technique, and growth as an artist. We ask that all actors sign up for the class ready to commit to the training, to their classmates, and to themselves.

Improv For Fun!

• Ages: 18+
• Dates: 5 weeks starts January 10, 2025
• Meets: Fridays from 7:00pm-10:00pm
• Location: San Jose Studio
• Cost: $327

  Students will learn about and experiment with improvisation and the Meisner Technique of acting. This fun and creative class will build up students' confidence as performers, expand their imaginations, and help them develop a strong foundation for their acting technique. This class is for both beginning students and those who want to further hone their acting skills.

One on One Coaching

Our coaches are the perfect expanders for you. They are trained, experienced and ready to help you.

Whether it's for an audition, career coaching, or jumping deeper into the craft, we offer different packages.

REEL SHOOT PACKAGES

  - Scripts written specifically for you, based on the types of roles and projects that you want to be seen in.
  
  ‍- The opportunity to act in scenes directed by Christy English, owner & founder of the Bay Area Acting Studio.
  
  - An edited copy of your scene.
  
  - You will get call times and will NOT need to be there for the entirety of the shoot.
  
  - We hire a professional director of photography with state of the art equipment
