Acting Classes For Adults

TV & Film Acting Class Tuesdays!

• Ages: 18+
• Dates: October 8, 2024
• Meets every Tuesday from: (7:00pm-10:00pm)
• Location: San Jose Studio

  Students will learn foundations of the Meisner Technique of acting and apply it towards: on-camera acting, preparing for auditions, nailing the comedy and/or drama of a scene, working on commercials, and much more!The Meisner Technique of acting builds confidence and empowers actors to be more truthful in their scenes and characters.
  
  Rather than faking or pretending to feel emotions, our actors learn to work through self-consciousness, get grounded in their scenes, and truly be affected by their scene partners moment-to-moment. This class presents students with MANY opportunities to get on their feet and apply their training in practical ways. Students will become more well-rounded performers.Our classes are fun and they empower students to be more open, authentic, and confident performers. Our classes are safe environments; no judgment, no competition, and no pressure.Enrollment in our acting program is a commitment to your craft, technique, and growth as an artist. We ask that all actors sign up for the class ready to commit to the training, to their classmates, and to themselves.

Audition Self-Tape Intensive!

• Ages: 18+
• Dates: 5 week online intensive starts October 1, 2024
• Meets: Tuesdays from 7:00pm-10:00pm
• Location: This class meets online via Zoom
• Cost: $274

  This will be a fun, educational, and hands-on opportunity for students to learn more about breaking down scripts, making strong choices, and ultimately submitting stronger self-tape auditions!
  
  ‍There will be self-tape homework that's assigned and REVIEWED by the instructor each week.
  
  This is a wonderful opportunity to get constructive feedback on your self-tape skills. There will be self-tape audition challenges in this class.
  
  During the final weeks, Christy English, Bay Area Acting Studio owner and Los Angeles Talent Manager, will go through the self-tapes, pick her top 3,  and then cast someone in the role.

  - An edited copy of your scene.
  
  - You will get call times and will NOT need to be there for the entirety of the shoot.
  
  - We hire a professional director of photography with state of the art equipment
